GEOG 332 - Grade Calculator

This rather primitive grade calculator is designed to help you monitor your progress in this course.

To determine how many points you still need to earn a particular grade, simply enter your scores for the items you have completed on the list. Then click the "calculate grade" button and examine the results below.

Enter your scores on the items you have completed, then click the "calculate grade" button

Exam 1 (100 points possible)
Exam 2 (100 points possible)
Exam 3 (100 points possible)

Climate Exercise (30 points possible)
Second Analytical Exercise (30 points possible)
Optional Extra Credit* (10 points possible)

The Results

According to the information provided above:

You have earned total points

According to the course syllabus:

You need more points to earn an A (333 points or more)
You need more points to earn a B (296 - 332 points)
You need more points to earn a C (259 - 295 points)
You need more points to earn a D (222 - 258 points)

Remember, the course syllabus clearly states that YOU MUST WRITE ALL 3 EXAMS TO EARN CREDIT FOR THIS COURSE. That means even though the grade calculator may indicate you have earned enough points to pass the course, you still don't pass unless your write all 3 exams.

Feedback?

This is my first attempt at a grade calculator. I sure would appreciate any feedback you might have such as:

  • did it work?
  • was it easy to understand?
  • was it helpful?
  • is there anything else you would like it to do?

Send me your comments at jcarroll@fullerton.edu

Thanks.
